Class 1
Class 1 is made up of 24 children in Reception and Year 1. We spend our time playing and enjoying fun, independent learning activities as well as developing our reading, writing and number work through teacher led and supported activities. In Class one, we love to work hard and play lots!
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, which includes the following areas:
The three prime areas:
- communication and language
- physical development
- personal, social and emotional development
And the four specific areas:
- literacy
- mathematics
- understanding the world
- expressive arts and design
We also follow the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1
Mrs Brown is the full time class teacher as Mrs Park is currently on maternity leave. Mrs. Brown is supported by Miss Rogers and Mrs Parsons to ensure the children of Class 1 enjoy their first school years!
Together, we aim to provide a safe, caring and supportive environment where each child can achieve their potential. We also like to involve parents and carers as much as possible, so please feel free to come and speak to us anytime. Remember to send in those WOW stickers when your child makes you as proud of them as we are!!
