Willow

Willow class is made up of children aged between 3 & 5.  We spend our time playing and enjoying fun, independent learning activities as well as developing our reading, writing and number work through teacher led and supported activities.  In Willow Class, we love to work hard and play lots!

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, which includes the following areas:

The three prime areas:

  • communication and language
  • physical development
  • personal, social and emotional development

And the four specific areas:

  • literacy
  • mathematics
  • understanding the world
  • expressive arts and design

Mrs Park and Mrs Gardner are the class teachers and they are supported by Mrs Ridding and Mrs Parsons to make a very busy and happy classroom environment. (Mrs Park works Monday to Wednesday morning, Mrs Gardner works Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday).

We have an exciting term ahead of us as we settle into school, We are sure that your child's transition into school life will be fun and straightforward and these first years will be some of the best!

Together, we aim to provide a safe, caring and supportive environment where each child can achieve their potential.  We also like to involve parents and carers as much as possible, so please feel free to come and speak to us anytime.  Remember to send in those WOW stickers when your child makes you as proud of them as we are!!
